It is possible that your spouse feels guilty for cheating on the lover he/she is cheating on you with. Or he/she may ask you to perform new sex acts or try new positions than you never have.

Long unexpected trips - Another sign is frequent unexpected trips, often taking longer than would reasonable be expected. If the spouse suddenly feels the need to go to the store for a loaf of bread and stays gone for an hour or more, this is a bad sign. If the spouse suddenly starts calling and saying will be late getting home from work on a regular basis or starts having frequent car trouble or other excuses to be away from home for longer periods.

A new interest - A spouse who starts taking an intense interest in appearance all of a sudden may be cheating. Especially if care is taken to look really nice just to go to a casual event or hang it with friends of the same sex, this is a definite clue. If a spouse seems to avoid showering at home for days on end, yet always stays fresh and has obviously been showering somewhere, there can not be much doubt.

Weird phone calls - Strange telephone behavior, including an increased frequency in short calls consisting of mostly monosyllabic responses and strange numbers appearing on the caller ID or phone bill that you do not recognize and spouse denies knowledge of may be an indication that spouse is cheating.

Any of the items listed above could be a sign of other things when taken alone. Yet, as a group, these signs in any combination are indications that a spouse is probably cheating. There are many different explanations for these events, but knowing how to know if spouse is cheating is a complicated process.
